In January 2021 I was honoured to be chosen to be the first "Oral Health Clinical Transformation Fellow" for Health Education England - a part of the NHS. I become the first ever Dental Hygienist or Dental Therapist to become a clinical fellow in the UK!

I worked on expanding the skills of the oral health work force through provisions of post graduate training for Dental Therapists. 

I worked with care homes to improve their oral health standards through education and access to dental appointments through links to local general dental practices.

This one year role expanded my interest in public health, research and project work and allowed me to gain confidence in a non-clinical role.
